Connection

Yoga 
and 
Tango:


Both
 yoga
 and
 tango 
focus
 intensely
 on
 the
 mind‐body
 connection.
Consciousness
 of
 the 
body
 and
 how
 it
 feels
 in
 different
 poses,

long
 with
 use 
of
 the
 breath
 to
 deepen 
and 
perfect 
poses
 is 
fundamental 
in 
both
 practices.

Tango,
 like 
yoga,
 focuses 
on
 the 
body’s 
energies,

and
 on 
aligning
 these
 with
 one’s
 partner’s.

The 
deeper 
awareness
 and 
consciousness 
of 
the 
body

and
 the 
breath 
that
 are
 fostered
 in 
both
 tango
 and
 yoga

can 
be
 drawn 
upon 
in 
everyday 
stressful situations
 to 
maintain

 sense
